IAIS conducts fundamental and applied research in Afghanistan and South Asia, Asia-Pacific, European and American studies, current global development, energy geopolitics, economic diplomacy, international law, sustainable development issues, anthropology and conflictology.

Analyze with scientific rigor

IAIS researches the scientific-methodical and information-analytical aspects of current problems of international research. It also prepares information-analysis documents and recommendations for directive bodies and the public.

IAIS is a non-profit organization committed to making our work accessible to people around the world. Our publications are available online for free.

Higher education

IAIS administers the Doctoral Program in International Studies. This doctoral program trains the next generation of scientists who produce original and interdisciplinary research.
