From July 14 to 18, 2024, Fazliddin Djamalov, a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for American Studies, IAIS, traveled to Georgia to participate in the OSCE Summer School. This event was specifically organized for young researchers from Central Asia and the South Caucasus by the Center for Conflict Prevention, with sponsorship from the U.S. mission, the Permanent Mission of Finland to the OSCE, and the Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia. Out of 1,200 applications received, a total of 20 young individuals from five Central Asian countries and three South Caucasus countries were selected to take part in this prestigious event.
During the summer school, experts from different OSCE institutions delivered interactive presentations on three key areas of the Organization: political-military cooperation, economic-environmental partnership, and human capital interaction. These sessions aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the various OSCE institutions and their practical activities in supporting youth initiatives. The intensive program provided valuable knowledge and insights, culminating in the presentation of certificates and memorable gifts to all participants as a token of their successful completion of the summer school.
