On 10 April, the Centre for Foreign Policy Studies and International Initiatives hosted a panel discussion with David Biro, coordinator of the representative office of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) in Hungary. The Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) was represented by researchers Aziza Mukhammedova and Mushtariy Usmonova, who took an active part in the discussion of topical issues of regional and interregional agenda.
The discussion focused on the activity of the OTS representation in Hungary as an important element of expanding the dialogue between the states of the Turkic world and the European Union. Particular attention was paid to the relations between Hungary and the OTG, as well as the EU's engagement with the Central Asian states, including strategic initiatives to strengthen the sustainability and interconnectedness of the regions.
The meeting also discussed the geopolitical role of Uzbekistan in transforming the architecture of Eurasian cooperation, particularly in the context of developing new transport and logistics routes and reorganising international supply chains. The participants emphasised the importance of coordinating scientific and diplomatic approaches to promote joint projects in trade, infrastructure and education.
Such expert events contribute to the formation of a platform for the exchange of strategic assessments and strengthen institutional ties between the academic community and international organisations.
