On January 12, 2024, the IAIS hosted a scholarly seminar featuring Dr. Philip Costa Buranelli, Associate Professor from the School of International Relations at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. This seminar centered around the theme of "Central Asia, International Relations Theory, and Research Methods."

Dr. Buranelli delivered a comprehensive presentation during the seminar, offering an insightful analysis of the potential trajectories for regional development in Central Asia. Notably, he expressed a positive assessment of Uzbekistan's initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration among the countries in the region. The session provided a valuable platform for researchers from the Institute for Advanced International Studies  and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy to engage with Dr. Brunelli, seeking answers to their inquiries and fostering discussions on the prospective implementation of joint research endeavors.
