On February 27, the Institute for Advanced International Studies, represented by the staff of the Center for the Study of Afghanistan and South Asia, held an online meeting with the Institute for Eastern Strategic Studies (IVSI, Iran). During the conversation, experts from both sides discussed the situation in Afghanistan, as well as expressed opinions on the political and social situation in the country, challenges to water and ideological security in the region. Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Professor A.Khaidarov also took part in the meeting and shared an analysis of the main priorities of Uzbekistan's current foreign policy towards Afghanistan. Concluding the meeting parties expressed hope for further cooperation in research field.
