IAIS will host a guest lecture by Dr. Maria Adele Carrai, Associate Professor at the University of Oxford and Fulbright Scholar at IAIS/UWED.The lecture will explore China’s growing role in   the norms, principles, and institutional frameworks governing cyberspace. Particular attention will be given to Beijing’s approaches to digital sovereignty, international cyber governance, technological standards, and the broader implications of China’s expanding influence for the evolving global digital order.

The scholar will also provide an opportunity to consider how competition over rules and standards in cyberspace is increasingly becoming an important dimension of contemporary international relations. The lecture will be followed by an interactive discussion and Q&A session with participants.
