Frontier Talks. Strategic Planning

In our continued pursuit of intellectual leadership and academic innovation, we are pleased to announce the next session of our Frontier Talks series — this time in the form of a specialised Strategic Planning Workshop, which will be led by Dr Islomkhon Gafarov.

The workshop will bring together faculty, researchers, and students for an intensive and forward-looking exploration of how institutions and scholars can better navigate complexity, anticipate global shifts, and design resilient strategies in the evolving landscape of world politics.

Dr Gafarov will guide participants through key tools and approaches for strategic thinking in international affairs. These include scenario planning, trend analysis, agenda-setting in policy research, and the development of strategic roadmaps for academic departments and think tanks operating in the IR and political science space.

Participants will engage in scenario-building exercises and collaborative planning sessions designed to align academic inquiry with emerging global challenges, including great power competition, digital governance, regional security frameworks, and climate diplomacy.

Date and time: April 18, 11 AM
Venue: IAIS Meetings Area
