The Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) is delighted to announce that Mushtariy Usmonova will lead the next instalment of our Frontier Talks workshop series on AI in research and education.
Ms Usmonova will survey the current landscape of AI tools and methodologies and their application across scholarly disciplines. After opening with an overview of machine-learning techniques for data analysis and literature review, she will demonstrate how natural-language processing can be harnessed to accelerate systematic reviews, identify emerging research trends, and even generate novel hypotheses.
Participants will also explore case studies from both higher-education and policy-research settings, examining how adaptive learning platforms and intelligent tutoring systems are reshaping pedagogical practice. Ms Usmonova will guide attendees through hands-on exercises using open-source AI software, illustrating best practices for model validation, ethical safeguards, and the integration of AI insights into traditional curricula.
The session will conclude with a dynamic Q&A panel, offering an opportunity to discuss challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the professional development needs of educators in an AI-driven world.
The workshop is open to everyone interested.
