Leading Research Fellow
Madinakhon Alimova graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Asia-Pacific Studies Center of the Institute for Advanced International Studies.
Previously, Madinakhon worked as a Senior Officer in the Publishing Department of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA), where she was responsible for media support of events, preparation of analytical and press materials.
She also completed internships at the Embassies of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Astana and Moscow, where she gained practical experience in diplomacy and analytical work.
Her academic interests focus on China’s foreign policy, digitalization, and the Belt and Road Initiative. Her thesis, titled “China’s Digital Silk Road Strategy in Central Asia,” reflects her deep interest in digital transformation and China’s role in shaping new infrastructural and technological linkages in the region.
