On July 2, 2024 the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting of the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A.Umarov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation G.Ismailova with the officers at Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent Harris Lipscomb and Saida Musakhanova.

The agenda of the meeting included discussion of prospects for cooperation in the educational field, as well as issues of bilateral cooperation. In particular, the parties discussed the deepening of research cooperation, participation in Fulbright programs and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.

The U.S. Embassy gave a positive assessment of the activities of the IAIS Center for American Studies, and expressed interest in continuing lectures by American diplomats.
