On February 22, the Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) hosted the first master class of a special course on American Studies organized by IAIS Volunteers Club as part of the Frontier Talks platform. The lecture was delivered by Dr Islomkhon Gafarov & Fazliddin Djamalov, providing students with an in-depth analysis of the historical and political foundations of the formation of the United States of America.
During the masterclass, the participants studied in detail the key factors that influenced the process of formation of American statehood. The prerequisites for independence, the ideological currents and philosophical concepts that shaped the US political system, as well as the role of prominent thinkers and scientists in this process were considered. Particular attention was paid to analyzing the US Constitution as one of the most important documents that laid the foundation for the democratic state structure of the country.
The special course on American Studies will continue with a series of lectures and discussions aimed at studying the American political system, history and legal institutions. In subsequent meetings, students will be able to discuss contemporary political trends in the United States, as well as assess the impact of American foreign policy on global processes.
The course organizers stress that the Volunteer Club will continue to conduct educational initiatives, providing students and the wider audience with the opportunity to interact with experts, engage in in-depth academic discussions and expand their knowledge of international relations.
