On April 28, IAIS Deputy Director Odil Gafarov and Ledaing Research Fellow Mushtariy Usmonova met with Romain Sidos, a researcher at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in France.

During the meeting, Romain Sidos spoke about the main areas of his research, presenting key issues related to the study of contemporary processes in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

In turn, IAIS representatives familiarized the guest with the institute’s activities, its research priorities, analytical areas, and current projects.

The parties also explored opportunities for developing academic and expert cooperation between the two organizations, including the exchange of research materials, holding joint discussions, and strengthening professional contacts.
