On 12 June, the Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) welcomed a delegation from Hungary’s Danube Institute for discussions on deepening research ties and exchange opportunities. IAIS Director Akram Umarov led the host team into conversations with István Kiss, Executive Director of the Danube Institute, and his colleagues.

Among the highlights was the mutual commitment to launch internship and fellowship programs for IAIS researchers and UWED students at the Danube Institute, and vice-versa. In addition, the two sides mapped out a series of joint roundtables and conference panels.

Institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize these plans. With the agreements now signed, both IAIS and the Danube Institute are looking forward to a dynamic partnership.
