On May 19, 2023, the Institute of International Studies and a group of MGIMO undergraduates met with the Institute for Advanced International Studies.

The meeting was chaired by Sherzod Abdullayev, Director of IAIS, during which he shared insights into the foreign policy directions of Uzbekistan, as well as the dynamics of development as a regional leader. Akram Umarov, IAIS Deputy Director, acquainted the guests with the activities of the Institute in ten areas. Participants showed interest in the activities carried out by the Center for American Studies.

And also speaking about the further development trajectory, the parties emphasized the importance of a separate study of the post-Soviet space for a better understanding of the ongoing processes  both in the region and on a global scale.

The participants of the meeting discussed the state of cooperation between the institutions, as well as further prospects for interaction and academic exchange.
