During the meeting, Chinese experts provided an overview of CIKD’s activities, highlighting their focus on research and international engagement tailored to different national conditions, based on China’s development experience. They emphasized the center’s core values of scientific integrity, multiple perspectives, and mutual learning. CIKD promotes international cooperation and communication on development through various methods, sharing Chinese insights and solutions for sustainable development. They also mentioned that CIKD is committed to sharing Chinese development knowledge to support global development.

CIDK representatives emphasized the three principles of their activities:

  • Multiple Perspectives: Development is a complex and dynamic phenomenon that requires analyzing multiple perspectives and considering the voices of various stakeholders.
  • Mutual Learning: All countries and nations have equal rights to development, with a strong emphasis on mutual learning and shared progress.
  • Scientific Integrity and network: CKID believes that knowledge comes from practical experience and comparison, emphasizing collaboration with practitioners and international partners.

To support these principles, CKID hosts 2-3 workshops annually, offering high-quality seminars and networking opportunities. The main research fields include industry, infrastructure, and green development. CIKD collaborates with various domestic and international institutions and organizations, such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, and works with Egyptian think tanks to support Egypt’s national strategy learning from Chinese development experiences. In turn, IAIS representatives shared information about the activities of the institute, its structure and principles and future plans.

They proposed forming an educational partnership, including a series of guest lectures on Chinese development at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The CIKD representatives welcomed this suggestion, and both parties committed to long-term cooperation.
