IAIS held a scientific seminar, during which Mokhira Saidazimkhujaeva’s doctoral dissertation on Soft Power in French Foreign Policy: The Central Asian Vector, prepared under the scientific guidance of Dr. Fariddun Sattarov, was discussed.

During the seminar, reviewers Professor Azamat Seitov and Dr. Islomkhon Gafarov, as well as other members of the IAIS Scientific Council, offered comments and expert observations on both the theoretical and methodological foundations of the work and its applied conclusions. The participants paid particular attention to issues of interpreting the concept of soft power in a competitive international context, as well as the possibilities of adapting the French experience to Uzbekistan's foreign policy practice.

The seminar participants noted the author’s contribution to the development of the political science school on cultural diplomacy, emphasizing the originality of the approach to analyzing the French model of soft power in the Central Asian region. The discussion was also accompanied by recommendations to clarify the terminology, expand the empirical base, and strengthen the analytical part of the dissertation before its subsequent defense.
