The Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy is pleased to invite qualified firms to submit proposals for comprehensive event support services under the “Modernizing Uzbekistan National Innovation System (MUNIS)” Project, funded by the Agency for Innovative Development’s Public Research Institutes Modernization (PRIM) program. With a grant of $195,600 for the period December 2024 to December 2025, IAIS seeks to bolster its institutional capacity through a series of high-profile conferences, Frontier Talks workshops, and capacity‐building trainings.

Aligned with the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Concept of Science Development until 2030 (Presidential Decree PF-6097 of 29 October 2020), the MUNIS Project aims to cultivate a market-oriented national innovation system. IAIS’s institutional modernisation plan — “Building Institutional Capacity for Sustainable Futures: A Pathway to Competitiveness in Central Asia and Beyond” — responds to pressing regional challenges in water and climate diplomacy, energy security, and trade integration. To deliver impactful research and policy dialogue, IAIS requires seamless logistical and hospitality support for all project-related events.

Scope of Services

The successful contractor will provide end-to-end event support, including:

  • Catering coordination for coffee breaks, lunches and dinners, tailored to diverse dietary preferences;
  • Guest travel management, encompassing ticket procurement, car mobilisation (airport transfers and intra-city conveyance), and on-site coordination of arrivals and departures;
  • Design and printing of materials such as banners, programmes, name badges and brochures;
  • Professional translation and interpretation services (Uzbek–English–Uzbek) throughout each event;
  • Optional assistance with accommodation bookings and any additional logistical requirements.

Assignment Period and Reporting

Services will be delivered from 20 June to 2 December 2025, in close collaboration with the IAIS Project Manager. The contractor will report regularly on progress and submit a final consolidated report and Act of Work Performed upon completion of the assignment.

Budget and Payment Terms

A single payment of 100 per cent will be disbursed upon satisfactory delivery of services for each event or group of events, in accordance with the agreed budget breakdown.
