The Institute for Advanced International Studies invites everyone to the next session of Frontier Talks on the topic “The Conceptual Problem of Central Asian Studies”. The speaker at the event will be Dr. Farhod Tolipov, Director of the Bilim Karvoni Non-Governmental Research Institute and PhD in Political Science.
The seminar will feature a discussion of conceptual approaches to the study of Central Asia, current methodological debates, and key theoretical issues related to the understanding of the region in contemporary academic and expert circles. Particular attention will be paid to how research frameworks regarding Central Asia are formed and what analytical limitations and opportunities they create.
