Our upcoming Frontier Talks seminar on Trans-Afghan Communications Development Dynamics is set to be delivered by Nargiza Umarova. The event will take place on 20 June at 11:00 AM at the IAIS Meetings Area.

Nargiza Umarova will provide a comprehensive overview of the evolving landscape of Trans-Afghan transport and communications corridors. Her presentation will explore the geopolitical, economic, and logistical dimensions of current and proposed initiatives traversing Afghanistan. Special attention will be given to how these developments are reshaping regional integration and impacting Uzbekistan’s strategic role as a transit hub.

The seminar will be of particular relevance to scholars, policymakers, and development practitioners working on regional cooperation, infrastructure policy, and the political economy of connectivity. It will also offer IAIS researchers and UWED students an opportunity to engage in an informed discussion on the challenges and prospects of trans-regional corridor diplomacy in a complex security environment.
