Dr. Iskandar Abdullaev boasts an extensive background as a seasoned researcher, accumulating over three decades of expertise in various fields including water management, climate change, climate economy, green economy, economic development, regional cooperation, and integration. His profound knowledge spans across Central and West Asian countries, where he has collaborated with a diverse range of development agencies such as ADB, WB, European Union, UNDP, GIZ, among others, to tackle sustainability challenges.
Holding a PhD in Water Management and an MSc in Hydrotechnical Engineering from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation & Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME), Dr. Abdullaev further honed his skills by delving into water quality research during his doctoral studies at Iowa State University, Iowa, USA.
