Huanchu Liu served as a visiting junior fellow at the Institute for Advanced International Studies in 2025. His academic interests primarily involve History and Foreign Policy. Before IAIS, Huanchu Liu is the founder of Preserving Stories, an oral history initiative interviewing veterans with members across 3 continents. His foreign policy experience also received recognition in the form of a silver medal from the Harvard International Review contest. He is currently working on a documentary film on Uzbekistan called Quyosh.
