Leading Research Fellow, Center for Indo-Pacific Regional Studies
Ms. Mekhriniso Abdurasulova (Uzbekistan) is a Leading Research Fellow of the Center for Indo-Pacific Regional Studies at the Institute for Advances International Studies. In this capacity, Ms. Abdurasulova is responsible for research, as well as the development and publication of analytical articles and materials, policy briefs, research papers, investigative reports on significant issues in Indo-Pacific Region and the international relations between this region and Uzbekistan. Abdurasulova is also responsible for organizing conferences, symposiums and round tables, cooperation with international organizations and research institutes in the Indo-Pacific region. Prior to joining the IAIS, she worked in the Senate of Uzbekistan as a referent at International Department. Throughout her career, she has been involved in translation (written and simultaneous) for government delegations and investors. She is owner of local travel agency since 2018. Since 2022 she has been working as head of Japan Center at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Ms. Abdurasulova holds a double degree diploma on B.A. in International Relations in Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (2018) and (with Honors) in Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (2019). Current research interests: Asian Studies, Indo-Pacific Country's foreign policy in Central Asia, Japan - Central Asian relations.
