Biography

Shokhrukh Saidov is a junior bachelor’s student in International Relations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent. His main research interests include Afghanistan, South Asia, China, and broader issues of international security.

 

He has gained experience through internships at the Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) and other government-affiliated think tanks, where he contributed to research, policy analysis, and academic events. He is also an alumnus of the OSCE Central Asia & Türkiye Youth Talks Program in 2025 and a participant of the Model OSCE. In addition, Shokhrukh is currently a cohort participant at the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Academy.

 

Beyond his academic and professional activities, Shokhrukh is a winner the JACAFA-Nippon Foundation Scholarship and participated in the UNESCO “Youth as Researchers” project in Central Asia, contributing to regional youth-related policy research.
