Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are the largest economies in Central Asia, largely complementary in nature. This circumstance favors the development of the regional integration process, which, after a long freeze, was intensified in 2018 in the format of consultative meetings at the highest level. Almost a historical event was a consequence of the transformation of the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, where Central Asia is designated as the main priority.
