Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have reached the level of real strategic partnership – Azamat Seitov

Head of the Laboratory of Anthropology and Conflict Studies of IAIS, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Acting Professor Azamat Seitov in a conversation with a correspondent of the Kyrgyz National News Agency “Kabar” expressed his opinion on the results of the state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan.

 

Dr Seitov noted that Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have raised the level of partnership to strategic, which has become possible thanks to intensification of bilateral cooperation and strengthening of mutual economic ties, adding that the countries have not only established close interaction in trade and economic sphere, but have also made significant progress in mutual investments, which testifies to the high level of trust and mutual understanding between them.

 

The expert paid special attention to the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, which contributes to increasing trade turnover and facilitating the movement of people and goods between the two countries. Dr Seitov stresses that Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, due to their geographical location, play a key role in regional integration and stabilisation of Central Asia, which makes their cooperation an important factor of stability and prosperity in the region.
