Former Head of the Center
Shakhboz Akhmedov has spearheaded initiatives within multiple regional intergovernmental structures, leading projects on climate and water issues and teams on resource mobilization, projects, and knowledge management. As a seasoned strategist, communicator, and researcher, he advocates for multi-stakeholder partnerships to foster climate actions and sustainable future, integrating research, technology, and innovation.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in Organizational Leadership from the Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK, along with an MA degree in Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, Germany, where he was a DAAD scholar. He earned his BA degree in International Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbekistan.
