Biography

Fazliddin Djamalov is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for American Studies, where he specializes in political analysis and the publication of analytical and academic articles. His expertise includes active participation in seminars and conferences on key regional issues and American political dynamics. He holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED). During his university studies, he was a recipient of the prestigious Presidential State Scholarship of Uzbekistan.

 

Currently, he is pursuing his PhD at the Institute for Advanced International Studies, where his dissertation focuses on “The Genesis and Evolution of U.S. Foreign Policy Thought towards Central Asia (a case study on Uzbekistan)”. Prior to his current academic role, Fazliddin gained practical experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan. He also served as the first national coordinator representing Uzbekistan in the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS).

 

He has completed several specialized training programs, including the OSCE Summer School (Georgia, 2024), the Caspian Basin Studies Program at the Institute for Development and Diplomacy in ADA Uniersity (Azerbaijan, 2024), a Certificate Program on Peace and Conflict at the OSCE Academy (2024), the PPIA Public Service Weekend at George Washington University (2023), and the V School of Analytics organized by CABAR.asia and the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (Kazakhstan, 2022).

 

Fazliddin’s research primarily focuses on bilateral and multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, as well as the role of interest groups and lobbying within the U.S. political system. He has published over 15 scientific articles in reputable local and international journals.

 

In recognition of his contributions, he holds the diplomatic rank of Attaché and has been awarded the honorary title of “People’s Diplomat” by the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan.

 

He is fluent in Uzbek, English, and Russian.
