Biography

Khulkar Karimova is a researcher and lecturer specializing in international trade, agricultural economics, and economic policy. She is an acting Associate Professor at the Department of International Economics at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.  She holds a bachelor’s from the Westminster International University in Tashkent and master’s degree in World Economy from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. In 2023, she received a PhD in economics. Since 2017, she has been teaching at UWED, where she lectures on microeconomics and world economy, academic writing. In addition, Karimova has worked as a researcher on European Union and WTO projects.

 

Her work focuses on Uzbekistan’s trade policy and export diversification in agriculture, with more than 20 academic publications, one monograph and participation in international projects and conferences. She has also worked as an analyst and project specialist, contributing to EU-funded initiatives and sociological research.

 

She has studied and trained in Uzbekistan, Europe and in the US, receiving multiple international scholarships and research grants. Karimova has completed professional development courses at the Institute of International Trade (Bern, Switzerland, 2022), the University of Missouri (US, Missouri, 2024), Ibn Haldun University (Istanbul, Turkey, 2025).
